Man Without a Nose Accused of Drug Trafficking After Drug-Sniffing Dog Searched His Car

A noseless New York man was arrested in Florida for allegedly trafficking drugs after he and his accomplice were found by a drug-sniffing dog.

Charles Wilson Pastore was arrested on September 3 after the white Mercedes-Benz he was riding in was pulled over by police in Fort Lauderdale. According to court documents viewed by Globe, Pastore, 46, was traveling with someone named Nicholas Martiz in the vehicle when it was pulled over for a routine traffic stop.

Martiz, the driver, agreed to let the officer’s K9 unit search the car. The dog quickly hit on a backpack inside the car that contained loose crack cocaine, a scale with white powder residue, a bag with cocaine residue, $3,515.00 in cash of various denominations as well as a semiautomatic handgun with the serial number shaved off.

Police searched the vehicle further and found a black cylinder with methamphetamine and cocaine hidden in the spare tire compartment. The dog also sniffed out drugs in Pastore’s pockets. Additionally, inside his wallet was a Florida State identification card. However, when police ran the ID, they determined it to be fake.

According to the arrest affidavit, the presence of cell phones, the scale, the cash, the firearm and, of course, the drugs led officers to believe that Pastore and Martiz were trafficking the drugs across the state.

Pastore is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of a forged driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He has since been released on bond. His next court date has not yet been made public.
