Lindsay Clancy‘s attorney claims the accused murderer is “suicidal” after her triple murder case resulted in a mistrial.
“She’s strong. She has incredible family support,” attorney Kevin Reddington told NBC News on Wednesday, September 9. “But she is suicidal. I mean, she’s on 24/7, one-on-one suicide watch. I worry about her every day.”
The news comes less than a week after Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial after the jury declared it was deadlocked three times.
Lindsay, 36, and her defense team do not deny that the suspect strangled her children — Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months old — in 2023 before attempting suicide by jumping from a window, an injury that left her paralyzed from the waist down.
“That was not the Lindsay that is now living amongst us,” Reddington said. “The person that committed this atrocious act was as a result of postpartum psychosis combined with the medications that she was provided.”
