Leaked Files From 2008 Reveal Disgraced Financier Jeffrey Epstein Was an FBI Informant (Exclusive)

Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful pervert pals were blatantly allowed to molest hundreds of underage girls by bumbling FBI bosses, who incredibly had the accused sex trafficker under surveillance for over a decade before his predatory behavior was permanently halted by his July 2019 arrest, critics charge.

Now, sources say a smoking gun memo from September 2008 has outed the financier as a law enforcement snitch by stating that Epstein had “provided information to the FBI as agreed upon.” The internal FBI note also alludes to Epstein’s 2006 indictment in Florida for sex crimes against minors and his sweetheart deal after pleading guilty two years later to a state child prostitution charge, stating that there would be “no federal prosecution” in the matter if he abided by his agreement, per The Hill.

In other shocking court documents obtained by Globe, the FBI admits its agents conducted an ongoing investigation into Epstein’s supposed flesh-peddling before, during and after his Florida plea — but did nothing to stop him.

Evidence of the blunder was obtained through an eight-year Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) battle in federal court — spearheaded by Globe — to force authorities to hand over the remaining 10,371 pages of top secret documents that threaten to expose the high-ranking government officials who let the sex creep operate with impunity.

In a sworn declaration from 2021, Michael G. Seidel — the former section chief of the FBI’s FOIA office — argues that the Epstein documents should remain under wraps because they reveal “who, how and under what circumstances” the feds monitor perps.

The document further states, “The FBI utilized this surveillance operation to obtain investigative intelligence relevant to the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein.”

Private investigator Ed Opperman, who has worked the Epstein case since 2013, tells Globe “it seems more than just incompetence” that the FBI waited until 2019 to cuff the billionaire — even though accusers have been coming forward since 1996.

“If Epstein was under surveillance all those years, how could they miss what he is doing?” Opperman asks. “If the FBI is admitting these crimes were going on right under their surveillance, then they are complicit.”

Nearly 20 years ago, ­ Epstein and his well-connected cronies were suspected of molesting about 30 mostly underage girls inside his mansion in West Palm Beach, Fla. But under his 2008 deal, he was allowed to plead guilty to minor prostitution charges and served just 14 months in a county jail work release program that even allowed him to use his private jet to travel to his New York City office.

“Epstein got away with sex trafficking even while under the control and custody of the law enforcement authorities,” charges a still-ongoing 2024 federal lawsuit filed by eight women, which alleges the FBI failed to stop Epstein and accuses the financier of being a government operative run amok, per Courthouse News Service.

Sources say up until Epstein’s 2019 arrest, he continued to molest hundreds, while rubbing elbows with bigwigs such as former President Bill Clinton, Britain’s Prince Andrew and others, who have all denied any wrongdoing.

“The FBI was complicit in permitting the ongoing sex trafficking of minors and the rape and sexual abuse of girls and young women which occurred tween New York, Paris, Palm Beach, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and many other locations,” the 2024 lawsuit claims.

Court records show the FBI is still withholding documents containing interviews with 55 alleged victims and tipsters. The unreleased stash also includes letters addressed to former ­Miami U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta, who orchestrated the West Palm Beach deal, intelligence operations information, spy communications, subpoenas for social media accounts, and Epstein’s banking and phone records along with graphic photographs.

Epstein, 66, was found hanged in his Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking in what was ruled a suicide. Still, many suspect he was murdered to ensure his silence.

“The FBI sat back while Epstein and his co-conspirators trafficked and raped teenagers and young women for twenty years,” the 2024 lawsuit alleges. “The gross negligence and reckless indifference committed by the FBI promoted the continued sexual abuse of the victims at the hands of Epstein and his­ associates.”
