Kim Kardashian Shares Plans to “Give Up Being Kim K” to Practice Law—If She Passes the Bar

Can you imagine a world without Kim Kardashian on your screens? The reality TV star, beauty mogul, and budding actress (she stars in the upcoming Ryan Murphy-created legal drama All’s Fair) shared that a major career change might be on the horizon for her when she appeared on The Graham Norton Show recently.

“I took the bar exam in July,” revealed the Skims founder, 45. “I get the results a few days after [the premiere of All’s Fair], so in two weeks. Everyone please pray for me! I worked really, really hard on this.” Fans will recall that her late father Robert Kardashian was a successful lawyer who defended his pal O.J. Simpson during the football star’s infamous murder trial in 1995, and that Kim has been working toward following in his footsteps. She has been studying law for the past six years through California’s Law Office Study Program, which allows students to prepare for the bar exam by apprenticing with a practicing lawyer instead of attending a traditional law school. In May, she celebrated her graduation from the program.

If Kim passes the bar, she’ll be qualified to practice law in California. And according to her, she’s even considering giving up her other businesses in favor of that career path. “I hope to practice law,” she said on Graham Norton. “Maybe in like 10 years I’ll give up being Kim K and be a lawyer. Like, a trial lawyer. That’s what I really want to do.”
