Kim Kardashian Gives Kourtney Bike From ‘Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure’ After One Sold For $125K at Auction

If you’ve got the same money and connections as a Kardashian, you can give pretty elaborate Christmas gifts. This year, Kim Kardashian proved it by gifting her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, an incredible movie prop from the beloved film Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.

On Saturday, December 27, Kourtney shared a picture of the immaculate red and white bicycle that was the catalyst for Pee-wee Herman’s titular big adventure in the 1985 comedy.

“If anyone’s still looking for peewee’s bicycle, I have it,” Kourtney, 46, wrote alongside the photo. “Coolest Christmas present.” The reality star followed up that post with a clip of Paul Reubens as Pee-wee Herman admiring the bike from the movie, which sees him go on a wild cross-country escapade to retrieve his missing bike.

The following day, Kourtney shared a snap of a sign on the bike that simply read, “Property of Pee-Wee Herman.” So far, the star hasn’t revealed whether or not she plans to actually ride it, but given its hefty price tag, one would expect it to stay off the road.

Fortunately for film buffs, Kourtney isn’t hoarding the only prop from the movie behind the walls of her mansion: According to People, the film used 14 different versions of the same bike during filming. While it’s unclear how Kim — who recently scored a bible once belonging to her late father, Robert Kardashian, for sister Khloé Kardashian during an auction — got her hands on one, one of the versions recently sold for an impressive $125,000 at auction.

The outlet reports that the bike that went for $125,000 was part of a larger memorabilia sale from the estate of Jay Ward and was only expected to fetch between $30,000 and $60,000.

It seems people are willing to spend a hefty chunk of change to have a nostalgic piece of Rubens’ iconic film. The actor died on July 30, 2023 at 70 years old.
