The 31-year-old Love Me Like You Mean It singer first saw a psychotherapist when her parents divorced when she was 12.

The Voice judge started up again at age 15 after she witnessed a fellow student being shot to death at her high school in Knoxville, Tenn. — a horrific event she says left her traumatized for years.

A friend confides that therapy also helped Kelsea deal with her painful 2022 divorce from her husband of five years, singer Morgan Evans, as well as navigate her current relationship with Outer Banks hunk Chase Stokes.

“Kelsea still has many days when she feels overwhelmed but she believes seeing her therapist keeps her grounded,” the snitch says. “And even though she’s on her big tour, she’s making pit stops along the way for her therapy appointments to make sure she doesn’t go off the rails!”

“I didn’t have a great relationship with therapy until it was my decision to go, which happened when I was 24,” Kelsea shares. “I’m pretty religious about it, and I try to do it at least a couple times a month.”

Sources say her sessions with her therapist are the most important appointments on her calendar — she even runs songs she’s written by her analyst to help her find their deeper meaning!
