Kate Winslet Reveals Eminem’s Uncomfortable Request When She Hosted ‘SNL’: ‘I Don’t Do Personal Grooming’

Eminem asked Kate Winslet for some NSFW help when she hosted Saturday Night Live with him as the musical guest in 2004.

“Also, I have to say something else, and this is a story I’ve never told anyone else. Eminem asked me to shave his bottom,” the Titanic actress, 50, said in a clip from her recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, which was posted on YouTube on Tuesday, December 9.

“There’s always a poo, bum thing for me when I come on the show,” the Oscar winner joked.

Surprisingly enough, she didn’t give any context as to why the “Lose Yourself” rapper, 53, needed a smooth bottom or even why he wanted her to be the one to do it. When asked for clarification, the actress merely explained how she turned him down.

“He asked me, ‘Will you shave my butt?’ and I said, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t do personal grooming.’ Like, what? I’m not going to go with a Bic and get your crack, love!”

That was the least of her worries. Winslet noted that not only did her hosting gig come shortly after Ashlee Simpson’s infamous lip-syncing debacle on the show, but the writers asked her to learn a whole song-and-dance routine in 24 hours.

“I’m tap dancing and singing, fully live, the week after the Ashlee Simpson thing!” the Mare of Easttown alum said of the stressful situation.
