Kai Trump’s Surprising Reaction to Grandfather President Trump Being Booed at Knicks Games in NYC

Kai Trump apparently wasn’t too upset by her grandfather, President Donald Trump, getting booed at the New York Knicks game.

On Monday, June 8, Kai, 19 — whose parents are Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump — attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden in NYC with the commander-in-chief, 79. The pair sat in a suite with team owner James Dolan.

In a video posted on X by Variety, the politician is seen standing next to Kai as they listen to the national anthem, with boos audible in the background when they were shown on the jumbotron. The Apprentice alum cracked a smile in the video, his hand in a salute, and Kai smirked as she held a hand to her heart.

Go Knicks,” alongside two heart emojis and a basketball emoji.

As for what Donald thought of the reaction he garnered from Knicks fans, CNBC shared in an article that he told a reporter, “I thought great. I mean, I thought it was amazing, actually. You mean when they have the camera on me?”

“I thought it was very good, yeah. It was certainly amazing,” the president added. “It was mostly cheers. It was loud, and it was very enthusiastic.”

The Knicks lost their first game of the finals to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
