Jimmy Kimmel Consumed by Feud With President Trump: ‘He Doesn’t Seem to Care About Anything Else’

Jimmy Kimmel’s constant back-and-forth with President Donald Trump is way past the point of being healthy, a source tells Globe.

“This hatred towards the president consumes Jimmy almost 24/7. He doesn’t seem to care about anything else these days,” says the source. “If he’s not brainstorming gags with his team, he’s glued to Trump’s movements online, plugging his name into Google and social media and trying to figure out his best line or attack in the next monologue.”

It’s not just the president, 79, either.

As Globe previously reported, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host, 58, found himself in the hot seat after he joked that First Lady Melania Trump had the glow of an “expectant widow” just days before a gunman breached security at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington D.C. on Saturday, April 25.

“People in his world humor it to a point,” notes the source. “But there’s a growing feeling he needs to tone it down a few pegs.”

For some, the routine has worn thin.

“I am so deeply sick of Jimmy Kimmel and the hate he spreads in the world,” conservative commentator Meghan McCain posted to X on Sunday, April 26.

“How the former family friendly ‘entertainment’ company @DisneyStudios continues to pay for this cretinous scumbag is as inexplicable as it is disgraceful,” Rob Schneider wrote on X on Monday, April 27.

Even the first lady, 56, has called on Kimmel to be fired. “Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand,” she declared in a statement posted to X that same day.

“Jimmy has so much in his life he could and should be doing, not fixating on politics and trying to even scores,” says Globe’s source, adding that the late-night talk show host “needs to mellow out and drop this before the negativity totally destroys him!”
