Battered by her embarrassing divorce from Ben Affleck and a fast slide into irrelevancy, Jennifer Lopez is fed up with Hollywood and sources say she is ready to flee that toxic world and move abroad, where she can make a fresh start and lick her wounds in peace.

“She’s always had this fantasy of getting away from it all and living a quiet life somewhere totally off the map, like Bali or even a small town in Italy,” an insider told Globe. “No one takes her seriously because she talks about it as this sort of bucket list thing she wants to check off one day, versus really wanting to do it now.”

“But she’s suddenly gotten very serious about it and has even started looking at real estate options. And who could blame her? She’s been so beaten down the last couple of years.”

As readers know, J.Lo’s recent projects have turned to dust, with ticket sales so measly for her This Is Me … Now tour that she had to rebrand it and cancel some dates, per The Economic Times.

And the 56-year-old entertainment diva has dropped so low in the public’s perception that far-from-A-list actor Luis Guzmán, 69, felt free to diss her on a recent Hot Ones episode.

When asked for one word to describe some of the “biggest legends” he’s worked with, Guzmán showered praise on some of his past collaborators.

Adam Sandler? “Amazing.” Catherine Zeta-Jones? “Bellísima.”

But J.Lo, his costar in the 1998 movie Out of Sight? Just “okay.”

Sources say J.Lo is ready to escape all this pain — geographically.

“The breakup with Ben is at the heart of it, but the other factor that spurred this on is the way the public and the industry has been treating her,” says an insider. “Six years ago, when she was getting all that praise for Hustlers, she felt like the days of being looked down on by her peers were over.”

Now, the source says, “she feels more like an outsider than ever. If even Luis Guzmán feels comfortable publicly insulting her, it’s appalling.”

“She’s pretty bewildered and feeling like there’s no point trying to impress these people anymore. She’s ready for a new challenge.”
