Insecure Cher Pushes BoyToy To Marry Her

Cougar Cher and her toyboy lover Alexander “A.E.” Edwards have managed to make it through 2024 together — and sources say the insecure diva is putting the squeeze on the 38-year-old record mogul to elope!

“Cher wants A.E. to stay close and take care of her, but she’s worried he could split at any time and desperate to make sure that doesn’t happen,” blabs an insider. “She needs more of a commitment from him to feel secure.”

The If I Could Turn Back Time singer, 78, is apparently feeling her age more than ever.

“I’m older than dirt now, OK?” she recently said while promoting her new memoir. “I’m the oldest person I meet in almost every room, unless I’m in an old folks’ home.”

As GLOBE reported, Cher suggested they’d gotten engaged in December 2022 — just a few months into their relationship — by flashing a diamond sparkler on social media.

They broke up the following April but were soon back together again. “A.E.’s made all the right noises about getting married,” confides the snitch. “They were even engaged for a while, but some friends think he’s just riding this relationship for all it’s worth and can’t imagine him following through.”

While a rep for the twice-divorced showbiz legend insists “there has never been pressure from either side about anything,” our source says, “Cher is determined to make A.E. honor his word, and some people think she’d even marry him without a prenup. That’s how desperate she is!”
