Hugh Jackman Plots Showdown With Sutton Foster’s Ex Amid Stalled Divorce, Eager to ‘Move Things Along’

Hugh Jackman is done waiting for Sutton Foster’s divorce to be finalized, reveals an insider.

While the Broadway beauty filed to end things with Ted Griffin all the way back in October 2024, “there’s a lot that still needs to be worked out and Hugh wants to move things along,” the insider tells Globe. “He feels like sitting down with Ted, just the two of them, can help.”

The former The Music Man costars made their romance red carpet official a year after her split — however rumors have long swirled that Jackman, 57, and Foster, 51, cheated on their respective spouses with each other.

His divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness was finalized last June, with the Aussie actress, 70, seeming to confirm the affair whispers by releasing a scathing statement about “betrayal” to the Daily Mail.

“Hugh isn’t looking to be confrontational with Ted,” insists the insider. “But considering how everything went down, it would be very understandable if Ted does have some harsh feelings. Hugh is ready to face that head-on.”

As Globe previously reported, the Logan actor is eager to wed the Bunheads alum — which would mean becoming a stepfather to Emily Dale Griffin, the 9-year-old daughter she shares with her 55-year-old estranged husband.

“Hugh plans to marry Sutton as soon as the divorce is wrapped and he wants to assure Ted that he’s got good intentions,” the insider adds. “The last thing he wants is to walk into that next chapter with bad blood hanging over everyone’s heads.”
