Dinosaurs are powerful, but it was bad weather that bullied the makers of the original 1993 Jurassic Park into finding a new place to finish filming the titular island park, where the ancient creatures are brought back to life and go on to do what dinos do — kill and cause chaos.
With Jeff Goldblum as a mathematician and Sam Neill and Laura Dern as scientists pitting their human noggins against the wily beasts, the blockbuster spawned a billion-dollar franchise, with the seventh installment, Jurassic World Rebirth, newly released.

But the ever-changing weather on Kauai, Hawaii, forced the filmmakers of the first installment to find increasingly innovative lighting solutions, and they eventually fled to Oahu when Hurricane Iniki laid their dino-park set to waste.
