“You cannot make this up,” Mindy Glazer, Miami-Dade Circuit Judge, said in Tuesday court footage, per Fox News Digital. “We are just grateful nothing worse happened to those kids.”
Nathalie Belizaire, a 29-year-old mother, was charged with four counts of child neglect after taking a three-night Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas. As Globe previously reported, Belizaire was taken into custody on Monday, September 28, after reaching port in Miami.

“Who leaves four little kids alone to go on a cruise?” Glazer added. “The poor kids were home alone.”
Several people also slammed Belizaire on social media.
“I just can’t comprehend it,” one person wrote via X. “I don’t even like leaving my child alone downstairs in case someone breaks in 😆 some people should not be parents.”
Another added, “Who the hell leaves their kids by themselves four kids and 23 kids a two month old baby to go on a cruise I hope she doesn’t get any of them back they deserve better than that piece of crap.”
As Globe previously reported, officers were called to the home on Saturday, after the father of Belizaire’s youngest child — a 2-month-old baby — grew concerned after seeing a post on her WhatsApp Story on Thursday, September 24, that showed a Carnival cruise ticket purchase.

According to the father, Lether Bazile, Belizaire told him she planned to leave the kids with their great-grandmother. However, after stopping by the house on Saturday — one day after the cruise departed — he reportedly heard the children inside and called police.
After making their way into the apartment, officers found four children hiding together in the bathroom. The children were unharmed.
“At this time, it is only an allegation; she denies the allegation,” the defense attorney for Belizaire said, per Fox News Digital.
The judge shot back: “Of course she does. They arrested her disembarking from the cruise ship!”
