Over the weekend, Pikeville, Kentucky, experienced severe flooding as heavy rains caused the Levisa Fork river to overflow, impacting multiple neighborhoods.

The Upper Hopkins Fork area experienced significant flooding, leading to road closures and property damage. In addition, the Lake View subdivision near Pikeville Commons saw nearly every home affected, and areas near Pikeville High School also suffered significant damage.

Emergency response teams conducted over 50 swift water rescues and responded to 130 emergency calls, with at least three fatalities reported in Pike County.
