A Delaware dance instructor was arrested and charged with allegedly sexually abusing teens she was supposed to mentor.

Emily Pryor Albino was arrested on August 4 after detectives with the Delaware State Police began an investigation into her that is currently seeking out more potential victims. Albino, 23, was a dance instructor at X-Treme Dance Studio in Laurel, Delaware, where the alleged abuse began.

Detectives discovered that she had allegedly sexually abused two teens who danced at the studio and is accused of also exchanging sexually explicit messages with them, adding to her charges. The alleged messages only came to light after police began looking into her conduct at the dance studio.

Formally, police charged her with four counts of 1st-degree sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust as well as sexual solicitation of a child using a computer/cellphone/other electronic device. Both charges are felonies. Following her arraignment by the Justice of the Peace, she was admitted to the Department of Corrections in the state on a $110,000 cash bond.

The Delaware State Police did not share details of the investigation, but told the public that they have reason to believe the two teens — whose names, ages and genders have not been revealed at this time — may not be the only victims of Albino’s abuse. Therefore, they are asking for anyone with more information or who may have been victimized by her to come forward as part of the investigation.
