Country cutie Carly Pearce is raring to hit the road in February for her European tour — but sources spill that fans should expect the Every Little Thing singer’s shows to be less physical as she continues to battle life-threatening heart disease!
The 34-year-old Kentucky native revealed in May that she suffers from pericarditis, an inflammation of tissues surrounding the heart that can cause excruciating chest pains.
Now, tipsters say Pearce is learning her limits as she copes with the condition, which requires her to keep her heart rate under control.
“Carly takes anti-inflammatory medication, which helps. But doctors have also told her that rest and not overly exerting herself is vital,” shares a pal.
“She simply can’t be running back and forth on the stage for an hour and a half straight every night. She’s doing new things onstage, using new visuals and telling stories about her hit songs that she feels will entertain audiences without pushing her health to the limit!”
Sources dish that Grammy-winning Pearce, who got her musical start as a teen performing at Dolly Parton’s Dollywood, is potentially facing surgery in the future — but does her best to maintain a good attitude.
“I think I’ve lived a lot of life,” reasons Pearce. “Some that I didn’t want to, but I think it’s made me better.”
Adds the friend, “Carly has been dealt a bad hand with her health, but you won’t find an ounce of ‘woe is me’ in her. She’s learning to adapt!”
