‘Baywatch’ Alum Nicole Eggert Looking Better Than Ever Amid Breast Cancer Journey, Debuts Pixie Cute

Former beach beauty Nicole Eggert prefers to think of herself as a Baywatch icon — not a Baywatch bimbo, as the media once labeled her and the hit show’s other female stars.

The 53-year-old mom of two, who has fought a valiant battle against a rare form of breast cancer since being diagnosed in 2023, definitely deserves to be called a hero. She’s undergone a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation to keep the disease at bay.

While she admits the treatments have been grueling, they’ve also given her a new sense of “fearlessness.”

“I spent so many years picking my body apart, picking myself apart, and … one day I realized, ‘This body works hard for me every day, and I’m sitting there criticizing it,’” Nicole says.

In March of last year, the actress — now a health advocate – shaved off all her hair with an electric razor, leaving her head completely bald.

But documenting her journey — even the most devastating moments — is crucial for the Charles in Charge alum.

“The great thing about sharing on social media is that people who keep it a secret and don’t talk about it, they can go [online] and feel like they’re being heard … It’s helpful to people who aren’t that open about it in their public life, because a lot of people do keep it quiet.”

But keeping her struggles a secret wasn’t an option for Nicole, whose hair has grown back into a cute pixie cut. “I feel like, if I’ve learned anything at all, it’s that keeping things quiet … adds to your sickness.”
