At age 68, Alec Baldwin wants to retire and become a stay-at-home dad — but the Blind actor may be biting off more than he can chew, warns a source.
While daughter Ireland Baldwin is all grown up — he shares the 30-year-old with ex-wife Kim Basinger — the former Match Game host still has seven kids under the age of 13 to juggle.
He and spouse Hilaria Baldwin share children Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, 9, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 5, Maria, 5, and Ilaria, 3.
“They don’t like relying on nannies, so Alec already has his hands full,” the source tells Globe. “Most of the time, he’s walking around like an exhausted zombie with bags under his eyes!”

According to the 30 Rock alum, he got used to not leaving his house after the accidental shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the New Mexico set of Rust in 2021.
“That was very painful,” Alec recalled during the Wednesday, April 13 episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast. “I hardly worked at all.”
In 2024, a judge dismissed involuntary manslaughter charges that the Emmy winner faced over the tragic incident, citing the prosecution’s failure to disclose evidence to the defense.
Now, his career seems to be picking up, with Alec telling Awards Chatter that he’s about to “go off and do a bunch of things” even though he really doesn’t desire “to work anymore.”
“Alec will be walking out of the frying pan and into the fire,” frets the source of the celeb’s retirement ambitions. “His home life is a pressure cooker — and he still has a short fuse. He often struggles to cope with the chaos as it is.”
